Trešnjevka Trešnjevka is an old city area celebrated in "The Ballad of Trešnjevka". It's a special sensation to be there in spring when gardens of small, romantic, family houses wake up and turn green, and when orchards are decorated with ripe cherries (treπnje) after which Tešnjevka was named. The soul of this city area is definitely the Trešnjevka market. There you can always see a familiar face, buy fresh groceries or comment on the current happenings. Also located on Trešnjevka, Dom sportova, "Dražen Petrović" basketball centre and the "Zagreb Football Club" stadium always provide interesting sports events. show next
